What a coincidence, we will be visiting relatives in Denver arriving on the 17th enroute to the Texas PineKnot rally and had contemplated staying at Cherry Creek anyway so we will see you there as we have now made our reservations there :dance4:

And yet another coincidence, this one unfortunate. I've been working temporarily in Denver for about a year and have seen a few of our Casita friends here, but I'm leaving Denver to go to the Arkansas Rally during your scheduled get together and then on to Pineknot. Where's the luck in driving 2000 miles to attend two rallies only to miss one 10 miles from the house?

Nice park, I checked it out a few months ago. Have fun and maybe we'll be here for it next year.

Great Gene, we will see you there.

Larry, That is what I hear about Cherry Creek. I haven't been there since I was a teenager, just water skiing for the day. So I don't even think I looked at the campgrounds back then, But I hear they are nice full hookups. Keith and his wife really enjoyed it so he suggested we try a rally there rather than a high altitude rally where people from sea level would struggle to join us. We will see how Cherry Creek works out. Sorry your going to miss it. Have fun at your two rallies that your attending.

Gene and I both may need a geography lesson. On my way to Arkansas from Denver, I have to swing through Houston, Then Springfield, Mo and finally Fort Smith. :g:

Hi Greg,
The whole Pioneer loop is sold out already but there are plenty of other sites available close by, go to the link for the reservations above and put in the dates you want and then click on the "facility map" tab to see what is available close by. I am guessing 20-25 trailers will be there as nobody seems to have an accurate account but the loop is full so they must be all fiberglass?

Greg, We would love you have you join us. Last I hear the Pioneer loop was all taken. Unfortunately since people don't respond and let us know that they took a site as well as the State Park, won't tell us who is "glass" and who isn't. We are assuming most of the loop is "glass"

When calling for reservation, I would ask for the Pioneer Loop and see if there is space available. As for the other loops to ask for. Keith says they are close by, Coyote Loop and Gold Rush Loop both still have quite a few sites left for those 2 days, at least. Either loop is good and right next to Pioneer.

Please let me know if your are coming. And where you will be.

Hope you folks have a great time. If you have the same rally next year maybe Paul and I can try the Larry and Gene mapping system and go from Plano, Texas to the Pine Knot rally in Grapeland, Tx via the Colorado rally.

In hope's of not having 15+ salads at our potluck on Saturday, I thought I would start a post of what I am bringing for the pot luck. I will try and keep a running post if you would like to post what your bringing. Thanks

BBQ chicken (grilled, then simmered in the crock pot all day long) Just so we have a meat dish.
Ranch Beans (unless I come up with a better side dish)

I know there are just a couple from this forum coming, but collectively from all the forums we posted this on, we seem to be up around 14 "fiberglass" trailers. Not bad for the first year. So 30 some of us. Should be fun! See you both there. Safe travels.
