From Dec. 29 thru Jan 2 a group of about 16 Casitas and other trailers had and informal get together at Highlands Hammock State Park in Sebring, Florida.
It was organized by Bill & Karen (Bill) from Sarasota, Florida.
It was a beautiful wooded park with lots of food. We spent most of the time around the campfire (Yes, it gets cold in Central Florida), playing games, telling stories, hiking, riding bikes going to the museum and eating, eating and eating again.
We also had a lecture from a retired park ranger about the life of the CCC workers that built the park during the depression.
We were also visited by Ray, Connie & Pickels (Rgill) from Kentucky, Jim, Sandy and Rainy (Rainyday) from Avon Park, Fl. , also a couple ( I forgot their names, sorry ) from Lutz, Florida on their first Casita outing with their new to them Casita and last but not least by Jay and Angela, future Casita owners from Sebring, Fla.
We have now put a face to some of this forums' members.

Here is a link to the pictures.

It was nice to meet Jerry and Gail and Randy and see our friend Jean again. We were 60 miles south in Ortona Lock COE campground and enjoyed the drive and beautiful day visiting. No doubt Jerry is a big happy Greek that can find food in the wilderness! Sure was fun.

Oh yeaw, we did meet a few others and kidded them about their converted propane tanks, (Casitas).
YOU CAN DO IT!
