Just a heads up for first timers to the gathering: the RV Pit Stop in Quartzsite has pumps for filling your fresh water tank conveniently and at a reasonable price. I drove through the Banning Pass with high winds and full tanks and it wasn't fun! RV Pit Stop also has propane, ice and dump stations. Don't miss the Quartzsite gathering!

Question

Val and I are planning next year's trips and we are would like to attend the Quartzsite gathering.

Val has MS and has extremely limited mobility.  Having been past Quartzsite many times on the highway I know the area is rather large and spread out. She can use a walker on reasonably level ground for very short distances and we utilize a wheel chair.  Is the surface at Quartzsite sutible for a wheel chair? Are the "events" a long way apart.

Thanks

The ground at Quartszite is all stones.  Relatively flat where most of the events take place.  I would think if you park near the road where the host is located you should be able to attend most if not all of the events.  Big wheels on the wheel chair would be helpful.

My wife just reminded me that because it is spread out there is room to cruse around in your tow vehicle as well.  Hope to see you there.

After missing a year, I will be back, probably arriving few days early, then leaving for Lake Havasu City for the Western Pyrotechnic Association annual Winterblast fireworks trade show.
