Where do you get a permit for Quartzite ? Never been I would like to try to make it this year. Definitely a rookie at the boondocking thing but learn quick 🏜

The host is a mile or two towards Quartzsite (on the left heading east) on Dome Rock Road.  Look for the American Flag - If it is up he is open for business.

I've never been to Quartzsite, but I'll be there this year!  How many Casitas typically attend?  Looking forward to some warmer weather without the risk of earthquakes.  See you all in February.

I climbed a local hill and counted about 250 fiberglass trailers in attendance.  Many were not Casitas and some were not part of our rally (or didn't register).

Are mosquitoes an issue in Quartzite in February?  Should I bring the clam?

Right On

Being a fairly good mosquito magnet, I don't remember being bothered by mosquitoes but some people bring clams just for more room.  Not much water around for the blood suckers.

Clam with sidewalls and propane fire pit are super nice in the chilly temps

Wind can be an issue, can be hard to get stakes in the ground.

It's like faked moon landing type of ground, rock and rock with sand on it.

Debbie and I hope to arrive around the 2nd or 3rd.   We stopped by for a day or so about 5 years ago and promised we'd make it back one day.   Looks this this might be the time.

Looking forward to it.

I have stayed for over two months for several years with no questions asked. That may change in the future. After the Casita group leaves that place gets pretty lonely. At that point only about ten RV’s.

Jeff,

Not cool to stay past the 14 days. A couple of days, maybe, but months? Yeah, no. That's taking advantage. Rulebreakers are the ones who ruin it for everyone. Go the LTVA where it's legal and not all that costly. Plus you have the advantage of a free dump, water refills, and trash containers.

Looking forward to seeing you and Debbie!

Will you be bringing any Casita do-dads with you to sell?  Saturday morning Swap Meet from 8-10 am would be the perfect time!
