This may be a stupid question, but would this be something that could be child friendly? Like for a 5 almost 6 h year old? My grandson is out of school that Friday so I’ll have him Thursday afternoon through Friday. I would love to go down Thursday evening and stay through Saturday but I’d have to take him with me. I realize not all events aren’t meant for kids, so I wouldn’t want to take him if it’s inappropriate. 

While we don't have anything currently planned specifically for kids. they are certainly welcome.  Nothing inappropriate will take place.  On the plus side based on past experiences having attended rallies for about 20 years, there will be about a hundred surrogate grandparents there.

I agree that nothing inappropriate will happen, but you need to be aware that there may not be any other kids there.  I'd hate for him to come expecting to see other kids only to be disappointed.

2026 TEXAS DOGWOOD CASITA AND FRIENDS RALLY

 

April 14th thru April 18th

 

TUESDAY April 14th Surf’s Up and welcome...

1 PM to 4 PM Early Registration with Denise and Robert at the Sunshine Inn. Pick up your registration

 

packet, name tags and pay $15 Registration Fee per Person. (cash preferred)

Come in and visit with old friends and make some new ones.

All Pickers can meet the “Biscuits & Gravy” Enhanced Band Members at the Main

Stage

 

4:30 to 5:30pm Come play “Quarter Bingo” with Bonnie at the Sunshine Inn. Bring your quarters and

 

instructions will be provided. Come join in the fun!

 

6:30PM to ?? The Sunshine Inn will be chill’in tonight with an ICE CREAM SOCIAL MEET & GREET

Stay and listen to a bit of mostly Live Music. Listeners always Welcome!!

Purchase your 50/50 and raffle Drawing tickets from Patsy anytime during the rally. Drawing will

be Saturday night. You must be present to win. Save your ticket stub.

Musicians/Campers, feel free to join others at their campsites

to Jam, visit with old and meet new friends, and also at

designated times in the side room of the Sunshine Inn.

 

WEDNESDAY April 15th Silent Auction Opens Today-Bid on your favorite during the week

8 AM to 9 AM Bring your favorite cup and enjoy coffee, pastries and friendship hosted by RJ

9 AM to 9:30 AM Devotional time with Shawn & Bob Sawin

9:30 AM to 11 AM Circle Jam Session will be held in the side room of the main hall of the Sunshine Inn for

 

all Pickers and any listeners. Chairs and water will be provided.

 

9:30 AM to 11 AM Registration continues with Robert and Denise at the Sunshine Inn. Purchase your 50/50 and raffle tickets.

 

Drawing tickets at registration or anytime from Patsy during the rally.

3 PM to 4 PM Trade/Swap/Sell Anything – Music Equipment, Camping Gear, Antiques, Knick Knacks/Misc.

6 PM to 7 PM Frank Knight-A Cowboy Poetry Reading- an hour of Western Verse and story telling.

7 PM till ?? Stay for an “OPEN MIC PERFORMANCE”on the main stage – PERFORM YOUR BEST 3

11 AM Meet at the Sunshine Inn and we will carpool to the Moosehead Café in Crockett for

 

“Lunch Out”. Signup sheet will be available

 

2 PM to 4 PM Circle Jam Session will be held in the side room of the main hall of Sunshine Inn for

 

all Jammers and any Listeners. Chairs and water will be provided.

 

4 PM to 5 PM Join your friends outside the main hall of the Sunshine Inn, bring your chair, for a rousing

game of “Granny Pants”, for individuals or teams. Audience participation needed. A sign

up sheet will be provided!

 

6:30 PM to 7 PM Margarita’s Served and/or feel free to bring your favorite beverage.

7 PM till ?? Come to the Sunshine Inn and sing your favorite songs with Karaoke Mike, Patsy and

 

Crew.

our prizes.

5 PM to 6 PM Join us at the Sunshine Inn for Pot Luck Supper and bring your favorite dish or dessert to

 

share. Also bring your beverage of choice.

 

6 PM to 7:30 PM Movie Night featuring the movie RV with Robin Williams. Popcorn served, BYOB.

infamous “Biscuits and Gravy Band”. Feel free to BYOB!
