Donna D. October 20, 2025 October 20, 2025 April 23-26, 2026 Silver Falls State Park (East of Salem, Oregon) Revised 4/18/2026 Ring, ring, ring. This is your six month alarm to remind you it's getting close to the time to make your reservation! Remember, you can make your reservation SIX MONTHS to the day you want to arrive in the park. This is the smallest venue where we hold NOGs. There are a TOTAL of 47 sites with electric and water at Silver Falls State Park. There are three serviced ADA sites in B loop and there are three unserviced ADA sites in A loop. There are four yurts in B loop that are pet friendly. One of those are ADA compliant. There are 10 electric and water sites in A loop at the far north end. (see attached map). If you want to attend Spring NOG, do not delay getting your reservation. Because this venue is limited in size, I respectfully request you contact ME and let me know IF YOU CANCEL. I know I'll have a wait list. Lets get your site to a NOGger. Silver Falls State Park is called the 'crown jewel' of the Oregon State parks system, and once you visit, you know why. Silver Falls State Park is the kind of standout scenic treasure that puts Oregon firmly onto the national - and international - stage. Donna D. October 20, 2025 Author October 20, 2025 Weather dependent! For those in the park on Tuesday (April 21st) and wanting to hike, I'm planning to hike the 7.2 mile loop which is considered a moderate hike, with an overall elevation change of 800 feet. I'll drive to the South Falls parking lot at 9am (the BIG lot just north of the campground.) If you prefer there are several connecting trails with separate access points that make shorter routes. You would need to figure out transportation. For everyone’s safety— absolutely no pets allowed on the Canyon Trail. There aren't any other campgrounds real close, there's the Silver Spur RV Park which is just outside Silverton. I drive by it on my way home. Looks nice. https://silverspurrvpark.com/ Day use parking permit for Silver Falls State Park is $12 for out of state residents/ $10 for Oregon residents. Pay at automated stations near trailheads or by scanning a QR code at the South Falls area. There is no charge if camping in the park. 1
